About Me
Thank you for visiting. I appreciate your time here.
I am a Statistician and Ph.D. student in Biostatistics at the University of Washington. I completed my M.S. in Statistics at the University of New Mexico and my B.Sc. in Actuarial Science at the University of Ghana.
My research develops statistical methods for questions in health and population data, with an emphasis on work that is rigorous, practical, and relevant to clinical and policy decisions.
Teaching and mentoring matter to me as much as research. I teach and tutor students in quantitative coursework and mentor those from underrepresented backgrounds finding their footing in STEM. I am also actively involved with the American Statistical Association and ENAR (Eastern North American Region), where I have served as a session chair, reviewed for student research programs, and taken part in education and early-career initiatives.
Beyond the Numbers
Away from work, I like to cook (hopefully not burning anything while staring at the game), follow European football (yes, I argue about referees like it’s my job), and enjoy graphic design. I also love to travel and experience new cultures, which keeps me curious about the wider world and the different ways people make sense of it.
